Refinish or re-coat?
If the finish is worn but the wood is in good shape, a screen and re-coat can bring back the shine in less time and at a lower cost. If there are deep scratches, stains or bare spots, a full sand and refinish is the right call. Roger will tell you which one your floor needs.

Refinishing questions
How long does refinishing take?
Most jobs take a few days from sanding to the final coat, depending on the size of the area, the stain and the finish. You get a schedule at the estimate so you know when you will be off the floors.
Can you match the color of my other floors?
Yes. We can stain to match existing floors and blend new or repaired areas so the transition looks seamless.
Can engineered hardwood be refinished?
Often, yes, if the top wear layer is thick enough. We check it at the estimate. Engineered floors with a thin wear layer may only be suitable for a re-coat.
How do I keep my floors looking good afterward?
Vacuum with a soft-brush attachment and mop with a tightly wrung damp cloth. Avoid oil-based cleaners. When light scratches build up in high-traffic areas, the floor can be lightly scuffed and re-coated.
