Solid or engineered?
Solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished many times and suits most rooms above grade. Engineered hardwood is more stable where moisture or temperature swings are a concern, such as basements. We recommend the right product for each room.

Installation questions
Can hardwood go in a kitchen or basement?
Yes. Hardwood can be installed in any room. For below-grade spaces, where moisture may be a concern, engineered or quarter-sawn hardwood is recommended, or vinyl can be used as an alternative.
Can new floors match the floors I already have?
Yes. We match species, width and stain as closely as possible and blend the transition so new and existing floors look like one floor.
Do you remove the old flooring?
Yes. We can remove existing flooring and prepare the subfloor before the new hardwood goes in.
How do I choose the right hardwood for my home?
Consider the type of wood, the color and grain, and how much traffic the room gets. At the estimate we walk through options that fit your home and budget.
